Wine Tasting

Hello Wine Group Members! 🍷

Planning is underway for our first Wine Tasting of the Summer.  Denise Pelle, our VP (Acting) and Events Chair has kindly volunteered to host the event at her beautiful new home.

Date:  Sunday, June 28

Time:  4 p.m. ~ 7 p.m.

Place: 55 Ayrault Street

We've decided on a French theme...as the French did so much to aid the colonies (especially Newport) during the War of Independence.  It's going to be a wonderful summer celebrating our 250th anniversary including a visit from the French Ambassador, so time to enjoy some special French wines and toast our historic milestone!

To ensure we have a wonderful variety of French wines (covering all 5 regions), we are asking those interested to provide $25 per person.  We will source the wine and pair each one with a lovely cheese.    Our TOH Wine Connoisseur, Sandy Neville, will share some interesting insights about each wine.

If you would like to bring anything (appetizer, dessert,) to share, please feel free - it would be appreciated, but is not necessary.

Please note that your payment is your registration...as this is not a general event open to all our membership....hence it does not appear on our Events Page with an RSVP option. Feel free to add a comment below that you are coming if you are paying by check so I get you on the list. I will post again when we reach 20. (It will be easier to confirm next time - I just figured out something new I can do on the website 😎)

The first 20 who provide payment will be the confirmed attendees please.   We will be doing another tasting later in the summer if you are not able to join on the 28th.   

These are very popular events, so please also consider hosting one.  To date, Maureen and Sandy Neville, Larna and Dan Lackner and Susan and Tim Kelleher have hosted a wine tasting event which have all been fantastic and greatly appreciated!!   If you are interested, please just let us know - the team is happy to brainstorm and help plan.   It's a group effort!
