About the Event
The annual Top of the Hill neighborhood association will hold its annual Community Forum on Thursday, May 28 from 6:00 to 7:30 in the Newport Library’s Friends Meeting Room.
The Friends Meeting Room is where we have traditionally held our Community Forums. The purpose of this forum is to have candid discussion with City leaders about issues of concern with our residents.
This year the forum’s content is slightly different from specific concerns such as street repairs and speeding traffic. This year’s forum is to learn about research and consultants’ analysis of Newport’s changing demographics, challenges and opportunities. This research is part of the Newport Comprehensive Land Use Plan (CLUP), a RI State-required plan that every municipality submits every 10 years.
